"She's not trying to impress anyone. She just knows what she likes"

I’ve always been drawn to things that are a little bit different.

Before jewellery, I spent most of my days living near some of the prettiest beaches I’ve ever seen. Life was simple, and I was always within walking distance of the water. Then, while looking for something to fill my time, I wandered into a jewellery-making supplies shop where they were running demonstrations.

I watched, I experimented, and almost instantly thought, “I could do this.”

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.

There were experiments happening everywhere, tools I was learning to use and plenty of pieces that didn’t quite turn out as planned. Somewhere amongst all that organised chaos, though, I discovered something I couldn’t stop doing.

I still remember the first silver ring I made.

It was a simple setting with an Alexandrite stone — and somehow, all these years later, I still think it’s stunning.

Then something unexpected happened.

People started noticing the jewellery I was making. Compliments turned into questions, questions turned into requests, and before I knew it, my little jewellery obsession had become something much bigger.

But over time, I realised that making jewellery isn’t actually my favourite part.

It’s what happens when someone finds their piece.

I’ve always been someone who notices the details that other people overlook. I’m drawn to asymmetry, mismatched things, odd numbers and those little imperfections that give something its character. I notice craftsmanship. I notice effort. And when someone puts on a piece of jewellery and their whole face changes because it suddenly feels like it was made for them…

I notice that too.

That moment is everything to me.

I make jewellery for women who don’t need to follow the crowd.

Women who know what they like, appreciate quality and aren’t afraid of a little character. Women who don’t need their jewellery to shout to be noticed.

The pieces I create are designed to be beautiful, wearable and just a little unexpected — the kind of jewellery that makes you feel seen, understood and completely yourself.

Because I don’t believe the best jewellery is necessarily the piece everyone notices.

I believe it’s the piece you can’t stop noticing.

Welcome to Shelley Alexandra Jewellery.

I hope you find something that feels unmistakably you.
